Résumé
Poursuites du programme pluri-annuel de qualification du site astronomique et démarrage des premières opérations d'observation astronomique à vocation scientifique. Démarrage du programme photométrique A-STEP, premier vrai programme d'astronomie en parallèle avec l'italien IRAIT, et qui devient la première priorité d'AstroConcordia à court terme.
Réunissant une vingtaine de laboratoires de 7 pays, le réseau européen ARENA dont le coordinateur est Nicolas EPCHTEIN du Laboratoire Universitaire d'Astrophysique de Nice - LUAN (CNRS, Université de Nice) mène une réflexion sur les priorités scientifiques du site de Concordia.
Ce programme est repris dans les programmes API n°124 AstroPoles : Astronomy from the Polar Plateaus et n°385 STELLA ANTARCTICA : Towards an international astronomical observatory at Dome C in Antarctica, l'un des 6 programmes sous responsabilité française (Éric FOSSAT du LUAN).

Après 9 ans pour les programmes Concordiastro (5 ans) et AstroConcordia (4 ans) essentiellement consacrés à la qualification du site, 2009-2010 sera une année de transition. Durant l'année 2009, les conclusions des études du réseau européen ARENA seront publiées, et les études d'astronomie (5 ans) de l'INSU seront renouvelés. Les priorités des études d'astronomie pour le programme IPEV (4 ans) seront précisées l'année suivante. L'actuel programme d'un an prévoit le lancement officiel des instruments à taille réelle et complètera les essais sur site pour les rendre plus robustes les statistiques de ce qui est maintenant bien connu ou explorer plus de paramètres d'intérêt pour l'avenir.
Abstract
The winter site testing programme will continue for several additional years, and in parallel, the first real astronomical observations will be started, with scientific aims. The A-STEP photometric programme will be the first real astronomical programme, together with IRAIT, and becomes the first priority of ASTRO-CONCORDIA on the short term.
The European Network project ARENA granted by Brussels with Nicolas Epchtein being the co-ordinator is the structure in which scientific short and longer term priorities will be discussed, in a broad international frame.

After 9 years for the Concordiastro (5 years) and AstroConcordia (4 years) programmes essentially devoted to the site testing, 2009-2010 will be a year of transition. During 2009 the conclusions of the ARENA European network prospects will be published, and the 5-year astronomical prospect exercise of INSU will be renewed. The astronomical priorities for the following 4-year IPEV programme will then be clarified next year. The present one-year programme includes the official start of the full size instruments and complements of site testing for making more robust the statistics of what is now well known or exploring more parameters of interest for the future.
